The global AI race has consumed an extraordinary amount of attention, capital, and political will. Every week brings new capability benchmarks, new funding rounds, new national strategies. Almost all of it is focused on the same question: who is ahead?
Almost nobody is seriously asking what comes next. What does a world with AGI actually look like? What does the winner do with that advantage? What does everyone else do? The sections below don't offer comfortable answers. They offer the questions serious people should already be asking.
